Golden Milk
A Mama’s cozy cup of wellness

If there’s one thing like a warm hug in a mug, it’s golden milk. This ancient Ayurvedic drink has been cherished for centuries, offering a soothing, nourishing blend of warming spices and creamy goodness. And, Mama, if you haven’t yet made golden milk part of your nighttime routine (or even a midday self-care moment), let me tell you – this is one simple ritual worth savoring.

Golden milk originates from Ayurveda, India’s traditional system of medicine, which has been practiced for thousands of years. This rich, spiced drink was used to support digestion, immunity, and overall vitality, thanks to its potent ingredients, including turmeric, black pepper, and ghee.

Ghee is another staple in the Ayurvedic tradition; it’s clarified butter that has been slowly simmered to remove milk solids, leaving behind pure, golden fat. It’s rich in fat-soluble vitamins, supports digestion, and adds the most delicious, slightly nutty depth to golden milk. Plus, it helps your body absorb all the goodness from the turmeric!

The Benefits of Golden Milk Ingredients
Golden milk isn’t just delicious- it’s a true mama’s ally when it comes to wellness.
Here’s why:

– Turmeric (with black pepper or cayenne pepper): Turmeric is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, supporting joint health, digestion, and even mood. Black pepper is key because it enhances the absorption of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, by up to 2000%. However, if black pepper irritates your gut, you can substitute it with a pinch of cayenne pepper, which contains the same compound (piperine) that enhances its benefits.

– Ghee: Helps nourish the gut, supports brain health, and provides healthy fats that contribute to hormone balance.

– Ceylon Cinnamon: Unlike the more common Cassia cinnamon, Ceylon cinnamon is milder and naturally sweet while also supporting blood sugar balance.

– Earthley’s Healthy Heart Tincture: (optional) This herbal blend is packed with heart-supporting herbs that pair beautifully with golden milks warm, spiced flavor.

– Ginger: Soothes digestion and adds a gentle spice.

– Raw Honey or Maple syrup: A touch of all-natural sweetness and extra antioxidants.

– Milk of choice: Traditionally made with full-fat cow’s milk, but you can use whatever milk you prefer; raw milk, coconut milk, almond milk or whatever suits your needs!

Mama’s Cozy Golden Milk Recipe:

– ½ teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon
– ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

– ½ dropper of Earthley’s Healthy Heart Tincture (optional)
– 1 teaspoon ghee (optional – if you are dairy-free or vegan, you can omit this or substitute with coconut oil)

2. Whisk in the turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, and ginger until well combined.
